Who We AreThe Association of Personal Historians (APH) closed down in 2017 and is no longer active. Personal Historians Northeast Network (PHNN) grew out of this organization and today offers an active home for personal historians and the professionals who team up with them.
PHNN supports its members as they record, preserve, and share the life stories of individuals, families, communities, and organizations. We also facilitate outreach and collaboration with similar groups nationally and internationally. We require all members to uphold professional standards that protect the integrity of the profession and safeguard the interests of individual clients and narrators. What We DoPHNN strives to encourage others to join our supportive community, develop and strengthen their personal history skills, and build a thriving professional personal history business. We look forward to a time when there will be a groundswell of individuals, businesses and organizations acting to preserve family stories and organizational histories as a significant record of the past.
